A disposable undergarment has been patented. It comprises a front body panel with a pair of opposite laterally spaced first side edges, a first waist edge and a first crotch edge longitudinally spaced from the first waist edge, a rear body panel with a pair of opposite laterally spaced second side edges, a second waist edge and a second crotch edge longitudinally spaced from the second waist edge. First and second crotch edges are longitudinally spaced from each other to form a gap therebetween. First and second crotch edges are free of any direct connection therebetween. The first crotch edge of the front body panel does not overlie the rear body panel and the second crotch edge of the rear body panel does not overlie the front body panel. At least one of the first and second crotch edges has at least one longitudinally extending slit. A crotch member is connected to the front and rear body panels and covers at least one slit.
